Post-#NaNoWriMo: What’s Next?

So #NaNoWriMo is over. I wrote over 140,000 words. I finished “Contamination” and I’m about halfway through “Collapse.” I’m still working on the writing, and I figure I’ve got another week or two until I finish “Collapse.” The plot is coming together nicely and I pretty much know exactly what’s going to happen in the second half of the book (at least, as much as any pantser can).

So what’s next? Well, a few things:

1. After I finish “Collapse,” it’s back to revisions. I’m going to try to stay in this “writing every single day” habit I got back into during NaNo. If I do that, I should be able to (finally) finish “Manifestation” Draft Three by January. Which I’d damn well better, since I originally said it would be finished LAST January, but then I got delayed by school work, so I said I’d be done by March, until I ran out of time, and I complained that I hadn’t finished by March and set a new goal for July, which went well for awhile, but I didn’t finish in July, and then I focused on getting “Radiance” published, and tried to catch up, then NaNoWriMo started, and that brings us full circle.

2. I also need to get “Radiance” published on more platforms. Feel free to nag me until I get that one done. A few people have asked about getting it on something other than Amazon Kindle, and I always planned to, but, well, see #1.

3. Once I get further into “Manifestation’s” revisions, I need to use the Kickstarter money to buy the cover for it. I’ll post a cover reveal sometime early next year as soon as I have it.

4. There is no #4.

So that’s it! Hopefully this all goes well and there’ll be some novels for you guys soon.

  1. Incredible! I am completely floored. I was happy I could write 120,000 words in 4 months, and you did more than that in 30. When your novel comes out in something other than kindle, I would love to get my hands on one. In the meantime, I will just keep an eye on this blog! You are an inspiration!

      1. I am still in awe, 24 hours later. All today I was wondering if you even slept. Possession would really explain everything. I get like that near the end of the book, but never the ENTIRE book. Hats of to you and your writing skills.
